Overview
Lepidolite is a lithium-bearing layered silicate, abundant in Jiangxi and Hunan provinces in China. After flotation upgrading it is processed by sulfate roasting and water leaching, with potassium and Rb/Cs salts recoverable as co-products, which suits integrated recovery projects.
- Li₂O 3.5–4.5%
- Co-occurring K/Rb/Cs recoverable
- Fluorine must be controlled in the roasting step
