Overview
Lithium-magnesium alloy is among the lowest-density metallic structural materials, combining the specific strength of magnesium with the weight reduction of lithium, and is used in aerospace, defense and premium consumer products. Higher lithium content improves ductility, but corrosion resistance must be reinforced by surface treatment.
- Li 5–15%
- Density 1.35–1.55 g/cm³
- Custom extruded or rolled billet
Technical data
