Overview
Lithium hydroxide monohydrate has a low melting point and high reactivity, making it the preferred lithium source for high-nickel NCM/NCA and LCO synthesis. Unlike the carbonate route, its by-product is water, so residual alkali in the cathode is easier to control, but the product is more sensitive to CO₂ and moisture.

Main applications
Packaging and storage
Packaging
25 kg aluminum-foil composite bags with liner, 500 kg bulk bags; nitrogen flushing recommended.
Storage
Strictly sealed against moisture; avoid contact with CO₂, which forms lithium carbonate.
