Overview
Retired EV batteries are graded into second-life and recycling grades by state of health (SOH), service history and appearance. Transactions require capacity, internal resistance, cycle count and safety test records, and must comply with dangerous-goods transport and solid-waste rules.
- NCM / LFP systems
- SOH 70–80% grading
- Test reports and traceability information

Retired batteries are dangerous goods; transport requires UN38.3, MSDS and appropriate packaging qualifications.
Reference standards
Standards and values are typical references. Supply is governed by the agreed technical protocol and the batch COA.
Main applications
Packaging and storage
Packaging
Original module racks / dangerous-goods packaging per UN3480 and UN3481.
Storage
Cool, dry, insulated and short-circuit protected; SOC 30%–50% recommended.
