Overview
Lithium silicate solution is used for concrete surface hardening (lithium-based densifiers), inorganic zinc-rich coatings, weather-resistant coatings and refractories. Compared with sodium and potassium silicates, the small lithium ion suppresses alkali-aggregate reaction and penetrates more deeply.
- Modulus 4.5–5.0
- Solids 23–25%
- Low alkali, strong penetration
Technical data
| Item | Typical value |
|---|---|
| Modulus (SiO₂/Li₂O molar ratio) | 4.5–5.0 |
| SiO₂ / % | 20–22 |
| Li₂O / % | 4.0–4.5 |
| Solids content / % | 23–25 |
| pH | 11–12 |
| Density / g·cm⁻³ | 1.19–1.21 |
| Viscosity (25 ℃) / mPa·s | 10–30 |
Modulus and solids content can be adjusted to floor penetration depth and coating formulation.
